Sisters~ Olathe Family and Baby Photographer

It's hard to believe that it's nearly been a full year since I've photographed these adorable sisters together for the first time. Time goes by too quickly.

One thing is certain though, this mommy and daddy produce super cute little girls! Add in mom's amazing eye for cute little outfits and it always makes for the sweetest photographs!

Taking Better Pics: Part 2 Fill the Frame...Get CLOSE!

This may seem obvious...but often it isn't. Now, there are going to be times that you want some negative space...but don't be afraid to get close. Especially of your children! The close face shots show off their personality and are always favorites! This is also helpful when you've "found the light" but it has an unfavorable background!

Here are some examples of images that wouldn't be the same if I'd been farther away. Don't be afraid to get into their space!! :) ( Or zoom in...if possible)

I first met this beautiful family late last summer. Their sweet daughter remains to this day to be one of the most talked about little girls I've had the pleasure of shooting. She just has the most adorable face. Her first shoot was HERE. Remember that cutie? Well she is all grown up, and the best part is that she is going to be a big sister. I won't be able to handle the cuteness, throw in beautiful mom and handsome dad and it will be too much. The beauty of it has that I have a whole year of shoots with them to look forward too, so until next time.....here they are!! :)

On the Farm..part 1 ~ Topeka Family Photography

I think almost 7 years had been how long it was since I'd seen Jenny. Thats waaaayyy to long. Jenny and I have been friends since 4th grade. She knows lots of things about me, and we have tons of inside jokes...so it was so fun to see her. She now is married to a wonderful man and they have a beautiful new baby girl in addition to her adorable son. She lives in Texas now, and I think we should visit very soon!!!

Alana, is Jenny's best friend (and we all went to high school together!). Her son is so cute...I mean look down at that face?? He is busy, and reminds me of my middle son....it gets easier Alana....a little!

I'm going to post more soon, but they have been waiting so patiently I had to get some up!!!

Sisters and Tutu's ~ Leawood Childrens Photographer

I say it a lot on this blog....I love sessions with little girls. Pink, tutu's, hair bows...all the things that I don't get to experience at home. This one had everything!! On top of that it was during that first week of spring where everything starts blooming...(and our noses start running) so the colors were beautiful.

The girls were super cute!

There is something kind of dreamy about this one!
